Bon Appétit:Marques de Caceres July 31, 2009 with Michael Paré of L'Eft Bank Wine Company

non-vintage Canella Prosecco Our Prosecco di Conegliano Spumante D.O.C. is brilliant straw yellow in color, with persistent perlage and a characteristically fruity nose. On the palate, it is well balanced and mellow, with a subtle hint almost of sweetness. The method employed is Charmat, and the process is repeated throughout the year in order to guarantee product freshness and quality consistency.

2007 MdC Santinela Mainly Viura, with a small percentage of Malvasía. These grapes are harvested late in the maturity of the grape and are, therefore, ripe and concentrated in flavors and aromas. Very bright straw color. Attractive bouquet combining lively notes of exotic fruit, apples (Cox's orange), and a hint of grapefruit in the background. Full in the mouth with delicious fruit flavors (apples, pears, white peaches), its silky, unctuous characteristic is enlivened by a refined acidity making the wine pleasantly light. This wine's delicate sweetness is hardly perceptible.

2008 MdC White Rioja 100% Viura. Pale straw color with metallic highlights. Very fresh bouquet revealing notes of pears and apples with a depth of citrus fruit. How is this one made? Not every grape harvested from the vineyards makes it into the wine. A careful selection of only the best are culled out and aged only in stainless steel tanks. Crisp, fresh and refreshing in the goal.

2008 MdC Rosé 80% Tempranillo, 20% Granacha. An attractive pale pink color, with a pleasant bouquet of strawberries and raspberries. Lively acidity, with minerals highlighting the long-lasting fruity finish, finishing with finesse. After several hours on the skin (to extra color) the juice is separated and fermented in stainless steel tanks. No oak aging!

2005 MdC Crianza Rioja 85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha and Graciano. Attractive, bright ruby red colour. Refined bouquet of black cherries and blackberries with a soft touch of aromatic Mediterranean herbs. Lusciously fresh and fruity in the mouth where rich fruit (cherries, strawberries, raspberries) and notes of cinnamon mingle to give a pleasant fullness with a backbone of silky-smooth tannins. Long-lasting, unctuous finish. A splendid vintage that is velvety-soft and elegant. Crianza red wines are aged in oak barrels for 12 months and then in bottle for at least 14 months, depending on the date of release.

2001 MdC Rioja Reserva 85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha and Graciano. The grapes are selected from vineyards that are well exposed to the sun, with a considerable proportion of older vines that produce lower yields, resulting in greater concentration. Just like our Gran Reserva wines, the Reservas are only produced from vintages classed as "excellent" or "very good." The Reservas are matured for 22 months in oak barrels from central France and for 2 years or more in bottle, depending on the date of release. Bright, vivid dark rubycolor. Intense bouquet that brings to mind jelly made from fruits of the forest (blueberries) and sweet spice. Good concentration in the mouth with delicious tannins that highlight the wine's rich fruit that has become more complex following aging in barrel. On the whole, an unctuous wine with a pleasant fullness that lingers on the pallet with a depth of refined toasted notes. A very elegant wine with superb potential for develop
